William Wordsworth was the man who ushered in the Romantic Age in English literature with the publication of his Lyrical Ballads with Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Wordsworth, the most famous of the English romantic poets was known as a priest of nature. Nature for him was a deity and a source of inspiration. He was also the Poet Laureate of England.
