Conclusion
Emotions are considered to be a part of the human nature; they vary from good to bad. The distinction is made from the point of view of the person that is feeling the particular emotion, because it is incorrect to generally consider that some emotions are good or bad. It so with anger also, it can be regarded as positive because it can protect person from being taken advantage of. However, there is also a negative side to the anger, when person does not effectively manage it and escalate the strong emotion. It then leads to aggressive behaviour. In addition, anger is not the only cause of aggressive behaviour. There are various theories that try to solve the problem of the cause of the aggression, but several theorists believe, that aggression is multi-determined, i.e. it has more than one cause. Regardless of the cause of the aggression, it is considered to be anti-social; therefore, people who are unable to control themselves are sent to anger management training. Effectiveness of the training depends on its length, its relevance to participants and its applicability to real life situations.
Even though nowadays people better understand their psychology anger and aggression is still a serious problem of society.
For further research anger and aggression, basic knowledge of human psychology and social psychology is necessary; otherwise, some theories are not completely understandable. For more extended study of anger management student should find practising psychologist, who can explain and exemplify how the anger management programs works in real life.
