1. What is court?
• A court is a body established by law for the administration of justice by judges
• A court is a person or a group of persons with authority to hear and decide disputes by interpreting and applying rules of laws
• Also it is a place where cases are heard
2. What are the two different levels of courts?
Trial courts and appellate courts.
3. Who is a plaintiff?
The part who feels wronged.
4. Who is a defendant?
The party or a person against whom court proceedings are brought is called the defendant.
5. What is a complaint?
Complaint is called a suit or a lawsuit.
6. What is an answer?
It is written by defendant. He disputes what the plaintiff has said in the complaint or even he may prove that there has been a wrong committed by the plaintiff.
7. What is a counterclaim?
In such case the defendant introduces a counterclaim along with the answer.
8. What is a burden of proof?
The plaintiff has to prove the case against the defendant.
9. Who is a witness?
A person who saw a crime, accident or know something about the event.…
