Cover Letter

I was inspired by Rector’s of the University of Basel prof. Dr. Antonio Loprieno quote about Europainstitut - University of Basel. I was searching for a place to develop my potential and Europainstitut is actually the place for challenging experience in an intellectually stimulating environment and I expect that studying in Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in European Integration will be a year of personal growth and potentials.
My name is xxxxx and I am student of Political Science of University of Latvia (graduating in June 2008), applying for a-one year MAS in European Integration and choosing major in “Conflict and Development” because of three reasons.
First, International Relations and European Studies is field of my interests in political science. I have taken part in United Nation Model in New York representing Latvia in Council of Europe (2007), in conference “Old, New and Future Europe - Europe, plurality of identities” in Rome (2006) and representing Latvia in European Parliament in Strasbourg (2002). …
