Neural and Hormonal System. Tools of Discovery, Older Brain Structures, and The Limbic System. I would be lying if I would say that these modules changed my life drastically. I would not be lying if I would say that I enjoyed them. Most Latvian students hate educational system of high school. Students have to take twelve to fifteen classes; I was dealing with it with a strategy – try to find a connection with future major/job and to saturate myself with an interesting information. In the United States, I do the same thing with the basic core courses. I think, it was easy to do in this class, I really found a connection between the Biology and the Psychology. They are connected like medulla and coordinate movements, like amygdala and emotions, like cerebellum and balance. It helped me to learn the translations of definitions that I had already known like myelin sheath, refractory period. Also, it helped me to learn new definitions like agonist and antagonist. How would I share it with my family or close friends? I think, in no way. Truly, I would be understood only by students who study the Biology or other similar sciences. I am not geek, I promise. I would tell them about thee mains levels of analysis: biological, psychological, and social-cultural. I would tell them how different kind of specialists, for example, psychologists and neurologists, work together to find a full responses to research questions. …
