The Baltic States

The author emphasizes that, when Estonia will adopt the euro, differences between the Baltic States, once equal countries will be impossible to ignore. It has all chances to get out of crisis, because during the last years its flexible wages and prices have helped the economy to stabilize while other two countries have continued to sink. Moreover, it easily meets the euro zone’s public-finance rules.
In conclusion, if the EU allows Estonia to adopt the euro, Latvia and Lithuania will have a chance to jump and after some years to join the euro, too.
