CNA week celebration- This is also a major production each year and like the Nurses week celebration includes a party. We have been visited by "The Village People", Cowboys and Indians and includes prizes, raffles, gifts etc.
CNA of the year- This person is selected by a drawing of all the CNA'S who have won the employee of the month
during the year plus others who may have been commended in other ways during the year. The winner is selected to attend the regional banquet held in Orlando, is treated to a days outing with the DON and Administrator and is transported in a limo stocked with wine and cheese. She receives a special book made just for her and a gift card for $100.00 from a local store. If she wins the regional award she receives additional money.
Dress down day every Friday- and the facility provides free ice-cream.
Survey celebration- self-explanatory for when survey leaves. Facility provides lunch and dessert.
Heart card Program- this program was in place but not used too often. Each card is worth one dollar and can be
given for whatever reason one wants . We have encouraged the nurses and management staff to reward the aides and any other employee more often using these cards and we also encourage residents and their families to use them when they compliment an employee.
Our committee meets once a month and have made many other recommendations to administration some of which have been used and others have not.
