Coming to America
Many people of my generations cannot say that they experienced life in two countries in their childhood. I am lucky to say that I was born in Europe, even though it was Eastern, and moved to "The Land of Freedom." I would most likely be considered first generation American. I was born in Ukraine and moved here when I was two years and one half months old. My mom and I left the JFK airport on August 27, 1991 and we moved into an apartment in Brooklyn.
