On the one hand, if the sale of tobacco is banned, it will be harder or almost impossible to buy cigarettes, and because of this the numbers of smokers will decreases. Ordinary people would not break a law just to get their usual dose of nicotine. If cigarettes are not freely available, it would affect younger smokers, who smoke illegally, they would stop it.
