Film Review of "Witness" and the Amish Community

I think the Amish live like this because this is their way of life. They follow their tradition. They believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. They believe that as Christians they should live as brothers, that the church is separate from the State, that they are committed to peace, and that faith calls for a lifestyle of good works. The men do the outside work like farming. The women do the house-hold work. We see in the movie that all the men make the gate and the women cook food. The children are educated in the Amish schools. They take care of each other. They cook together, build together and work together. They don't follow the rules of any other community because they all have their own rules.…
