Darba fragmentsAizvērt

Therefore discussions about changes in political organisation started to emerge because economically it is not efficient any more to sustain political equality for all the member states. European Unions major power states – United Kingdom, France and Germany not being equal still wanted equal power in decision-making and smaller member states didn’t want to give up their powers to the previous mentioned power countries. That created situation where the economically more important states does not have more influence in decision making than smaller states. Arguments started to arise that the states that are contributing more in common budget should have more influence .
In conclusion, the main idea of crating European Union as a supranational community was to create common market. All the decisions are made based on economical reasons, with agendas hiding personal interests. As long as it didn’t interfere with member states interests it was peacefully functioning. As economical interests get affected, member states are seeking a way out of political obligations but with a way to keep the benefits of a common market.
