Biography of Colin Powell

Colin Powell had also been one of the leading contributors of the destruction of the Taliban regime. According to my biography, "Powell's work directly brought down the Taliban regime, ruined the al-queda network, and restored the freedom of the Afghani people," (Means 56). Mr. Powell developed new battle strategies such as the bombing tactics before sending in troops for clearance to fight against the uniquely equipped Taliban fighters. These tactics saved many lives and swiftly brought down the Taliban. His motives were not for revenge of the September 11th attacks but rather for freedom and democratic expansion.
