I haven’t thought about building my own business before. It was not exactly that thing which I dreamed of. First idea about starting my own business came to my mind when I was studying in the local art college. At that time I was totally convinced that my life would be connected definitely with arts. I liked what I did and believed that some day I will become a well known designer. But then something happened, that changed my whole life.
The second and third year of studies I and my friend, we were having holiday jobs in winter, and during the 3rd year we decided to use our creativity and make some jewellery items made by to our own design to get some extra money to pay for studies. To our surprise, we discovered that they started to be very popular and decided to continue making new and new items. And result was incredible: we managed to pay tuition and even got £3,000 after that. My friend was already dreaming about our own company, but as I was more down to earth, I couldn’t just imagine something like that. First of all, education for me was very essential; I had always thought that it was critical for my future career. I knew that if we start our own business studies will definitely suffer and finally I would have to give up my course. On the other hand I had doubts that I would ever have such business opportunity once more in my life. So, we decided to put off our studies and try our luck in jewellery business....
First problem we came across was money. Of course we knew that £3,000 is not even near the sum which was needed to start doing something more serious.
