The traditions are still inspired by the religion and it is still a monarqui so even politicians are really strong behaviors in Islam and what it represents for women. Although it is going to be a slow process to see differences in women condition in those country, in Bahrain they take more and more importance by occupying high hierarchical position.
The vision of Muslim on Americans citizens with what happened actually is the most important confrontation between two civilizations since few years and it is going to take time to be one day resolved. By their implication in many Arabic countries and the image they have through the position of the actual government really hard tension appear between them and make it a big issue for most American citizens.
She has to be careful because such a behaviour in country in which there is so strong traditions when advising her colleagues about their personal matters. It can be perceived as a mistake of management. For example women of her company spoke to her about different problems (even of lifestyle) but in the Arabic country it could be perceive as an offence (it is good to try to provoke the emancipation of women) and people probably thought that she was a bad-influent person.
