Talking about politics and political parties in Slovakia first of all we need to precise, what exactly is politic and political party, to understand deeper the proposes of political systems and democracy. Of course in general we all know what is politic and what is political party and more or less we have connection with politics as far as we are a part of society. So, according to sources politics is a process by which groups of people make decisions. The term is generally applied to behavior within civil governments, but politics has been observed in all human group interactions, including corporate, academic and religious institutions. It consists of "social relations involving authority or power" and refers to the regulation of a political unit, and to the methods and tactics used to formulate and apply policy. Political party is a political organization that seeks to attain and maintain political power within government, usually by participating in electoral campaigns. Parties often espouse an expressed ideology or vision bolstered by a written platform with specific goals, forming a coalition among disparate interests.[5.]
After 1989, Slovakia went trough extremely complex process of transition from communist dictatorship to democracy, which included political transformation from one- party system to the parliamentary democracy with rule of law and revival of civil society. …
