I read an article in internet about corruption and bribing in Latvia and other countries all over the world and realized that this is a very big problem nowadays, especially in our country. Corruption is both a major cause and result of poverty around the world. It occurs at all levels of society, from governments, civil society, judiciary functions, military and other services and so on. The impact of corruption in poor countries on the poorer members of those societies is even more tragic. It goes without saying, that corruption is everywhere. Bribery seems like a normal business practice. Many countries including France, Germany and the UK treated bribes as legitimate business expenses which could be claimed for tax deduction purposes. Corruption in poor countries is well commented on. But rich countries, also suffer from corruption.
An act done with intent to give advantage inconsistent with official duty and the rights of others. The act official of fiduciary person who unlawfully and wrongfully uses his status or character to procure some benefit for himself or for another person contrary to duty and the right of others.…
