Anna Sakse was born in 1905. She started to write when she was very young. When she was 22 years old came out her first publication in 1927, but first try was when she was five. As usual the best storyteller for the children is mom and a grandparent so was Anna too. Anna Sakse is our nation writer.
In year 1978 was translated Flower:fairy tales by Tamara Zalite (Tamāra Zālīte). I think the translator chose fairy tales to introduce English speaking people with our culture and a little with traditions too.
