Tourist industry - multisectoral activity that requires inputs from many industries - agriculture, construction, manufacturing, and from both the public and private sectors to provide the goods and services used by tourists.
Tourism can be recognized as long as people have traveled. The narrative of Marco Polo in 13th, The “Grand Tour” of the British aristocracy to Europe in 18th century, Journeys of David Livingston through Africa in the 19th century, those all are examples of early tourism. As the founder of modern tourism can be regarded Thomas Cook who is well known by his charted train what was used in 1841 to transport travelers from Louthborough to Leicester. Before 1950s tourism in Europe was mainly a domestic activity with some international travel between countries mainly within continental Europe.…
