Talking about drug using as about dangerous, unacceptable and destructive habit is nothing new. But always when someone talks about drug using as about great danger, those people who are not drug addicted think it is not referring to them. Of course it is a myth, because no one is protected. If you are not using drugs, it doesn’t mean that you are protected from crimes that drug users commit, violence and diseases that they often help to get around. The main aim of my work is to confute this myth.

Drug using as the threat for security of society

I will use the data about crimes that have committed drug users from US in 2000 to confute this myth. First I would like to define what is drug related crime:
Violations of laws prohibiting or regulating the possession, use, distribution, or manufacture of illegal drugs.
Offenses to which a drug's pharmacologic effects contribute; offenses motivated by the user's (Violent behavior resulting from drug effects. Stealing to get money to buy drugs. Violence) …
