Now that more than 450 000 people have registered in this portal it plays a very big role in Latvian people life (it is more than 20 % of all Latvian inhabitants). And what is the first thing that people do when they sit down at the computer? Read news? No! Open draugiem.lv!!! You can ask: “Where is the problem of all this?” The problem is that people become addicted to this page. People (including me) have to check letter box, visitors' book, new pictures, commentary, new measures, friend birthdays, public diaries, etc. all the time thinking that “maybe someone has sent something VERY important that I have to read”. But is it only bad? “Every cloud has its golden edge” so draugiem.lv can not bring only something bad (addiction, spent time) to everybody – there has to be something good too.
First I have to mention that one of the best things what we can thank draugiem.lv is that they assemble very many people who could not get in touch other ways so easy regularly. For example: old classmates, like-minded fellows, acquaintances and others.…
