As a conclusion, Patagonia was the safest place for Chatwin, but the most dangerous one, once experienced due to three important factors: alcohol, violence, and criminals. What Chatwin wanted us to see is that no place is safe and there is no such thing as safety because of many concerns of the people. We can't help it, every place is dangerous; in the contrary, we can try to improve this by different means, such as to control ourselves with alcohol and try to be more passive and try to live without violence. I think that Chatwin's point was great and although it may be very difficult to see, we can relate the events that happen in the book with our real life, and that makes the book even more interesting.…
