The capitalist system would have been very beneficial to women, if not for the fact that femaleness was considered inappropriate in the business world unless they were using their womanhood in a seductive manner. It was evident that women had posed a new threat to men in business relationships, as they had proved their capabilities in the household economies. But as far as business was concerned, it was still a man's world, and females who appeared in that world were engaging in unnatural relations. The mere words "working women" was considered an oxymoron. The female gender, with their new found freedoms, would never give up the fight for equality in the workforce. Women did remain in the workforce, proving their capabilities and self reliance, but it was actually more than a century in the future before they were ever recognized for their contributions to the business world.…
