6.Volunteer holidays
The extract below is about how people can spend their holidays with the maximum profit, especially it applies to children. After the constant requests from parents to make their children more independent, the counsellor Susan Fee urges to send children to several trips like she has done with her daughter ,which sent to Costa Rica and Ecuador where her daughter worked together with local people alongside helping them with cooking, cleaning, planting and orphanages .Such an experience has changed the girl a lot.On her return home the girl has become more appreciative. These holidays influence the whole Susan’s family,so they committed to working at a local animal shelter one day a week.
I fully support this idea, because I suppose that this way of spending a holiday for children is an ideal school of discipline and upbringing.Furthermore parents may rest assured that their children are not busy with trifles, but on the contrary are turning their’s hand to useful work.
