It is only the truth in which Kanye depicts suffering people who are unavoidably subject to failure while others have the grand opportunity of success.
Kanye West discusses his triumph into his song lyrics, showing the marked contrast between success and failure. In fact, "it is almost a given that Kanye is the new king of the Roc" (Dorrie Williams-Wheeler), one of the biggest hip hop recording label companies. Looking in general at the situation West went through, he really dug himself out of the pits and slums and steadily earned his way into the top of the game. He portrays the ideal man who starts off with whatever little he has and builds a strong foundation that leads to success. He also writes and raps about the other end where people live in dismal failure, making a clear distinction from success. Ultimately, West's message comes out to be that people are who they choose to make themselves to be.
