I have read many of Coelho books but I didn't really enjoy them. When I started to read this book, I knew that it will be hard to read for me because of the boring plot. I knew that Paulo Coelho stories has never “twists and turns” of plot. However, I managed to read this novel and found something interesting in it too. Brida has its own share of inspirations for those who are looking for them. Coelho talks about the gifts that all of us carry within us even without knowing it. We only need to recognize these gifts.
The author talks about the fear of making mistakes and failure. Brida is young and this fear of failure stops her from learning until she overcomes her doubts about her own abilities. This is true to most people as we all are constantly plagued by doubt whether we are good enough for following our dreams, to achieve what we want to. But Coelho tells us that doubt and courage to overcome it is the path to learn and grow.…
