Effects on the environment
Chewing gum is commonly stuck underneath benches and tables or to the surface of sidewalks, and is difficult to remove once dried.
 Chewing gum is not biodegradable, making it a potential hazard to the environment.
Interesting facts
One old wives' tale says that swallowed gum will remain in a human's stomach for up to 4 years. 
BUT! Chewing gum stays in stomach usually a day or two after we eat it.

Most chewing gum is purchased between Halloween and Christmas.
Chewing gum while peeling onions will keep you from crying.
