Luke is a very down-to-earth kind of a man. He’s also a businessman and always takes his job very seriously. His clients are very important to him, but he manages to take care of his newlywed wife Becky as well. He doesn’t show his emotions often, but makes sure that everyone is well. His heart is fairly huge and he always makes sure that Becky gets what she wants as well. Being excited about the baby they’re both having soon, he reminiscences about his ex-girlfriend, whom he now has to meet regularly.
Venetia Carter is Luke’s ex-girlfriend and Becky’s new doctor. She’s a glamorous, wealthy obstetrician that almost every women in the country wants to be signed to. Still having feelings for Luke, she messes with Becky’s mind telling stories and making her believe that Luke is having an affair (with her). Hitting on Luke, she tries to ruin their marriage.
