Conclusions
1. British English and American English have significantly different vocabulary and usage, grammar has some differences, too.
2. Most of the people prefer American English instead of British English because it is easier and more common used.
3. People are aware that the difference between American and British English exists and they believe that they know enough about the main differences between British and American English.
4. Students mostly use American English outside the school because it is more common used in songs and TV shows.
5. Respondents know British vocabulary better than American English vocabulary, because people in school learn/learned British English; therefore they have better knowledge in British vocabulary.
6. Respondents think that American English is more useful for them because it is the most important variety of English language nowadays.
7. The hypothesis was proved – there are many differences between American and British English in grammar, spelling and vocabulary, because people try to adjust to the language, therefore they create new language forms.
