Artemīda ir Zeva un Lēto meita, Apollona dvīņumāsa. Lēto bija jāatrod vieta, kur nekad nebūtu iespīdējusi saule, jo Hēra bija viņu nolādējusi. Zevs no jūras dzīlēm izcēla salu, kas bija atradusies zem ūdens un ko nebija apspīdējusi saule. Pirmā piedzima Artemīda un palīdzēja Lēto saņemt savu brāli.…
