Suzie had completed her Business degree and returned home to await her graduation. She had been home few days when her uncle asked her to manage his grocery store for the next month. However, she found that many problems existed after the store supervisor showed her around. Supervisor seemed to hardly ever inspire and motivate staffs and interact with them. Moreover, the effective network and a stimulating work environment were not being built. Therefore, Suzie's job as a manager requires her to 'get things done through people' in order to make the shop much better than before. It this essay, it tends to explain how the ideas of Taylor, Fayol and Mayo help people understand Suzie's day as a manager in a real world.
