The use of UAVs can cause problems to the state on more fronts than one. The use of armed military drones also leads to a far less obvious problem and that is the promotion of attack and extrajudicial killing as such. The substitution of warfare with separate attacks often made possible by the decision of a very small group of people and no accountability often in states the US is not at war with becomes more and more common. The threat we are faced with now is a global arms race in drone technology giving the same capabilities now possessed by the United States to other countries and possibly terrorist groups worldwide. For example, in November 2010 China at the Zhuhai air show surprised viewers with 25 models of drones, including armed ones (Shane, S. (08.10.2011)). This in itself would not seem such a big problem.
