I remember it like it was yesterday. I was six years old on December 24th, the night before the big day. I got to stay up late and put cookies & milk out for Santa. I had been such a good boy that year and I was waiting for the ultimate gifts. After loosing the battle with my eyelids I found myself in my own bed suddenly awakened by my overwhelming anticipation to meet the infamous chimney god himself. Though it was still the middle of the night, my eyes popped open and I ran to the door pasting my face upon the wall and wedging my nose in the crack just enough to enable me to peek down the hallway. Needless to say, it wasn't Santa wrapping my gifts that night.
To this day, I still have trouble believing that my parents had so ingeniously disguised themselves as Santa Clause.…
