D. Conclusion
In conclusion, first and foremost, I highly recommend this book. It's short, to the point, and documents a time in our great nation, when it wasn't so great. It showed me that at the worst times, there are some people that still look towards the future, and can see the better good in all of us, and what is to come. Anyone can learn from Martin Luther King Jr. He transcends gender, race, creed, and religion.
I never considered myself a racist person by any means of the word. The biggest element I drew from this book was that despite how I may think, I sometimes am a racist person. No matter how hard one may try, you can't get the racism out of a person, you have to get it out of a society, or a people. "Nonviolence is a powerful and just weapon which cuts without wounding and ennobles the man who wields it. It is a sword that heals." Martin Luther King Jr.
