I with my group of researchers was not in the least surprised by the findings. We confirmed what had been suspected for a long time – that medicine, space, a and the origin of the universe are the most important subjects when it comes to attracting young people into science and maintaining their interest.
It seems that a passion for science can be maintained by enthusiastic teachers who can show the relevance of the subjects.
