In the book it was told in order, with flashbacks and it was told in 17th century too.
In my opinion I liked the movie better, because there was more intellectual and emotional work. I could understand the film more, because there were shown characters relationships and appearances and plot. I really enjoyed knowing this story and i hope that everyone has a chance to read the book or see the movie.
