What I have Learned From Doing this Essay?
Good written communication is need in a health care setting between the multidisciplinary team members, it provides good continuity of care, if the nurse is using practices that are supported by research that is proven to be correct and up to date, they should document what they have done and reference it to the research. This means that their conduct can be proven to be correct and does not harm the patient.
Verbal communication can also be used to reassure, support, provide security, to gain information, convey professionalism and competency. Non-verbal communication can be used to reinforce what has been said, show confidence, reassure and grow trust between the patient and the nurse.
The multidisciplinary team comprises of many different professions and specialities, each one of them an expect in their own field, this means that the patient receives the very best care at any given time.
Using practices that are based on evidence and proven fact means that the nurses and the rest of the multidisciplinary team are using techniques and methods that are up to date and have been researched.
