At the time of World War II, John was a celebrity and expert on economics. Keynes became the Baron Keynes of Tilton and took a seat in the House of Lords as a member of the Liberal Party- the government trusted him again. John Maynard Keynes also was involved in the setting up of the International Monetary Fund. Unfortunately, these were the last years of his life and he died in 1946 because of severe heart attack. In his last days he said that his greatest regret in life was that he had not consumed more champagne.
John’s ideas have been endlessly revised, expanded, and critiqued nowadays. Also the study of econometrics was created to explain Keynes’s macroeconomic models. I admire his personality and achievements, and I will definitely read at least 1 of his books. I am sure that he had a very strong character and incredibly clever brain to achieve such goals in his life.
