There are many definitions to describe what a leader when defining leadership is. The most common words explaining it are guiding, influencing, directing and the ability to lead. Maxwell (1999) defines leadership as an ability of the leader to influence others - both those who would consider themselves as followers, and those outside that circle. (Peter Drucker (Hesselbein, Goldsmith 2006): "The only definition of a leader is someone who has followers.") Bennis, 2007, p.23: „Leadership is a function of knowing yourself, having a vision that is well communicated, building trust among colleagues, and taking effective action to realize your own leadership potential." But some authors would object that there are many ways of looking at leadership – as Mullins (2007) points out - interpretation ate more specifically.…
