How did online social networks develop?
In the 1990s the web became accessible to ordinary users, turning the Internet into a mainstream phenomenon;
As the user community grew, online services began to build communities;
From the mid-90s to 2000 lot of companies rushed to reproduce existing online services on the web;
Nowadays different kind of social networks are a part of people communication around the whole world.

There has been “a study of the fossil record of the brain sizes of hominids [Great Apes] that showed that the size of the neo-cortex—the part of the brain concerned with thinking and problem solving - increased with the size of the hominid social groups.
