What significant information is omitted?
The author is clearly biased and did not provide any significant information regarding the case between Smith and Barney and the broker. The arbitration panel, comprised of a securities industry professional and two attorneys, of the National Association of Securities Dealers went through the case and after hearing the arguments from both cases ruled in favor of the plaintiff. However, we learn nothing about the evidences that were presented before the arbitrators. Some of the evidences, for example, medical evidences and job performance history of the individual, are quite significant and should have been included in this article so that we can judge for ourselves the validity of such ruling. (Letters, 1997)
What reasonable conclusions are possible?
