'The Pianist'
This film is about the true life of a Polish Jew named Wladyslaw Szpilman who survived World War 2. It basically is about how he escaped the evil ways of what the Nazis did to the Jews. While living in hiding and under control of the Germans he experienced some terrifying events.
The movie starts out with his family living together in an apartment that was in the ghetto of Warsaw, struggling for money. The family consisted of the father, mother, sister, Henrick (his brother) and himself. He was offered better jobs so that his family would not be as poor but never took any because he wanted to be a pianist. He was offered to work for the Jewish Police and refused this offer, which may have saved his family. Henrick and him would go out on the streets and try to sell books for extra cash to feed the family. They where very scarce on food since no one had an adequate job to support all of them.
After the Germans attacked and made it into their city they put all the Jews in a contained area. Szpilman and his family already lived here, although the Germans built a brick wall around the entire ghetto so that no one was allowed to leave. After this life just got worse for the Jews.
