The wanting for women's right has an on-going event. Women have been wanting equality forever but didn't start doing anything about it until the 1770's. As American grew more and more women became aware of the unequal status in Society. Especially their lack of suffrage or the right to vote.
In 1848 two women, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott, launched the first woman suffrage movement in the United States, at the Seneca Fall Convention.
