Capital punishment is actively practiced today in the United States of America. It is not going to stop all of the horrific events that occur in this country, but it is better than just holding someone in jail. If someone commits a crime of great tragedy, they need to be put to death. Although, some situations should exempt certain people from receiving the death penalty. If someone is fully examined by a medical professional, and deemed mentally unstable, the appropriate punishment should be placed upon them, not necessarily capital punishment. …
