I made my first few steps onto the stage and looked out for my mom. I didn't see a single person. The stage lights were blinding, they shined in my eyes all I could see was the edge of the stage I focused on it. I didn't hear any one, only tacky music for a long time, "girls just wanna have fun..." Then a girl started talking, I didn't know what she was saying at first then I realized she was talking about me! "Janice Schindler has blonde hair and blue eyes ,she attends sycamore rocks elementary school and is in the 4th grade..."
It was over before I knew it. They asked for all participants to come back on stage one last time they asked us a few questions, "What kinds of food do you like?" "If you could go any were, were would you go?" The questions were easy and I knew what I was going to say with out even thinking about it. "My favorite food are mangos and I would love to go to Japan, I enjoy learning about there culture and I am fascinated with the extreme way the dress." A not-so truthful answer the seemed to like it. The whole time I talked I could feel the tiffany girl staring, but it didn't bother me any more, she was just competition and I was going to try as hard as I could.
