If Congress passes the Induce Act, investors would be scared to invest in new technologies and products. With the possibility of being taken to court by the Induce Act, many would not even try to start companies. Existing companies either would flop without funding, or would have to contort and twist their business to fit the new model. Without new companies and innovations, our technological world would become even more stagnant, creating a world where even broadband access was limited and licenses were issued for peripherals we take for granted, such as the CD burner and scanner. As a result, the Induce Act, while helping the RIAA and MPAA, would damage far more companies in the end.…
