The title of the story is Jaws that reflects the main idea of the story, the white shark-killer.
The book was finished in 1973 and was sold to Universal Studios.

The author Peter Benchley is a well-known bestselling novelist. He has also been a speechwriter, and a journalist for such magazines as Newsweek and National Geographic.
The author shows a lot of interesting facts about sharks and it gets into the heads (for their last few moments of life) of the people being attacked in a way that makes your blood go cold.
The main idea of the story is about a Killer Shark staking a claim off Amity Island.
