Conclusion
While there are many similarities between the B2B and B2C supply chains, a few of the differences include the collaborative nature of the B2B supply chain versus the fairly straightforward set pricing and purchasing activities of most B2C operations; the fact that the supply chain "upstream" of the final sales transaction generates a much greater volume and often involves a great many more participants in the system; and the differing nature or behavior of the customer between the two types of businesses. The B2B customer is likely to be more involved and require more input before buying than the typical B2C customer.
