After the end of the First World War, Germans Weimar republic which was established was in chaos. During the First World War, Germany lost 2 million troops. In the meantime, the country suffered high unemployment, rampant inflation and bitter political differences between the right and the left. 3 of the things which made people start to support Hitler were because of the political, social and economic problems. People in Germany were tired of their poor quality of life. Hitler promised to make Germany proud again - it was exactly what people wanted to hear.
