As the job cuts continue, the planning, structuring and posturing carries on. On an international game board with global players, the dice have not yet been cast. It is expected that the trend toward offshore IT outsourcing will continue, even increase its pace. It is doubtful that any meaningful legislation can be enacted to halt the continuing procession of IT jobs to overseas companies. It is just a doubtful that any uprising from the masses will quell the corporate greed that is at the center of the capitalist corporations of America. There is little organized effort to create bargaining units or unions for IT workers. The group consists of such a large and diverse group that organization efforts are quickly overburdened. Some IT workers have joined unions associated with the communications industry, but these cannot adequately address the complex issues faced by a growing international industry.…
