Sleep is one of the most basic human needs, yet students often treat it as the easiest part of the day to reduce when there is not enough time for everything else. A student may have lessons, homework, examination preparation, sport, hobbies, family responsibilities, social activities, entertainment, and online communication competing for the same limited number of hours. When the day feels too short, sleep can appear flexible because nothing immediately forces a person to go to bed.
